HIG FAQ: what we can and cannot do.
A practical compliance and self-education surface for international patients, families, representatives, and healthcare-related partners before they submit a healthcare coordination request.
Read this before sharing sensitive details.
The FAQ explains HIG’s coordination role, emergency boundary, provider responsibilities, pricing limits, document process, and privacy expectations.
HIG facilitates healthcare coordination and information exchange. HIG is not an emergency medical service and does not provide diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment, or medical decisions through this website. For emergencies or urgent symptoms, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified medical provider immediately. Do not send full medical records, ID documents, payment details, or highly sensitive files through general web forms; if documents are needed, HIG will provide an approved secure process.

What HIG can help coordinate
What HIG cannot do
Questions patients, families, and partners should understand before contacting HIG.
01What is HIG?
HIG / Health Is Good is the DOUTRES Group healthcare coordination route. It supports international patients, families, representatives, and healthcare-related partners with communication, preparation, translation, logistics, appointment coordination, and route clarification with selected medical or wellness institutions.
02Is HIG an emergency medical service?
No. HIG is not an emergency service, ambulance provider, urgent-care center, crisis line, or hospital. If symptoms are urgent, severe, or life-threatening, contact local emergency services or go to the nearest qualified medical facility before submitting a coordination request.
03Can HIG diagnose, prescribe, or recommend treatment?
No. HIG does not diagnose, prescribe, provide treatment, or make medical decisions through this website or a general inquiry form. Medical decisions, clinical suitability, treatment plans, and prescriptions remain with licensed healthcare professionals and institutions.
04Are hospital availability, eligibility, and provider decisions confirmed by HIG?
No. HIG can help prepare and coordinate communication, but provider acceptance, appointment availability, medical eligibility, clinical suitability, treatment options, and final decisions are subject to review and confirmation by the relevant healthcare provider.
05Are package prices final medical costs?
No. HIG package prices are indicative coordination fees for HIG’s facilitation work. They do not include medical provider fees, surgery or treatment costs, medications, imaging, hospital deposits, travel, accommodation, insurance, visas, or third-party charges unless expressly stated in a written scope.
06Should I send medical records or ID documents through the contact form?
No. Do not paste or upload full medical records, passport or ID documents, payment details, images, or highly sensitive files through general web forms or ordinary messages. If documents are needed, HIG will explain an approved secure process and the minimum information required.
07Can a family member or representative contact HIG for a patient?
Yes, but the representative should only share information they are authorized to provide. HIG may ask for confirmation of representative authority or patient consent before discussing details or requesting additional information.
08How does HIG handle privacy and data?
HIG aims to collect only the information needed to understand and route the inquiry. General forms should be used for high-level context only. Sensitive documents, if required later, should be handled through an approved secure process. Privacy and data handling are governed by DOUTRES privacy terms and applicable operational safeguards.
09Can hospitals or partners work with HIG?
Potential partners may contact HIG for structured cooperation discussions. Partnership conversations are subject to review, documentation quality, verification, compliance checks, and mutual agreement. HIG does not grant medical accreditation and does not guarantee patient flow.
Still unsure where to start?
If your question is not covered, use the contact route for a high-level inquiry. Keep sensitive documents out of the general form until HIG provides a secure process.
